EMBROIDERY FAQs
Do you embroider on customer-provided items?
Yes, as capacity permits. To start the process, e-mail camille@cfazel.com or text 918.212.4983 with a photo or link to the item you'd like embroidered or schedule an appointment to come into the studio to browse tons of fonts and thread colors. Whether over text or in person, we will discuss your design and pricing. Items can be shipped to the studio or dropped off at the appointment. The item can be shipped back to you (at actual shipping cost) or made available for local pick-up.
We may at times need to close acceptance of customer-provided items to give time to fulfill product orders.
What embroidery options are available?
I have a huge collection of high quality monograms, fonts, designs, and threads. I have "menus" available for some items, but because different fonts and designs only work in certain sizes, it is impossible for me to provide a one-size-fits-all catalog of all items. Feel free to look through my Instagram or send me photos of other embroidery you like. Scheduling an in-person studio appointment is the best way to see as many options as possible.
How much does your embroidery cost?
C. Fazel personalized products will always be the best value in terms of embroidery. This is because with my own items, I have already put in the time to learn what designs will work and how best to stitch the item. With customer-provided items, I am often starting from scratch and devoting a lot of time to creating a custom design and ensuring it stitches well.
Custom embroidery prices start at $18 (typical cost for most simple, one color names and monograms) and are based on a rough formula of number of stitches and number of colors used. My goal is to provide truly bespoke designs beyond the typical commercial embroidery shop.
For baby clothing with dense stitching, pricing includes application of a soft layer intended cover the back of stitching and protect the baby's sensitive skin.
I have a logo I'd like embroidered on something. Can you do that?
Regular .jpg or .png image files do not translate to embroidery. I need an embroidery-format file to work from, such as a .dst or .pes. For an initial setup fee (depends on the design, usually about $45), I can send your image file to a digitizer to convert it to an embroidery file. Once that file is created, you will own it, and it can be used in that size indefinitely.
I saw a design online that I want you to embroider. Can you do that?
Yes, in most cases. There are thousands of amazing embroidery designs available for purchase online that I just don't own (yet!). If you see something you like, we can purchase it and stitch it out. The fee is whatever the design costs plus the cost to stitch out. I cannot embroider licensed designs (such as sorority/fraternity letters, pro sports teams, etc.).
Are there any items you don't embroider on?
I do not accept baseball caps, finished pillow shams (fabric before it is sewn into a sham is fine), some lunchboxes, or any item that would require removal of stitches to access the back side of it. The machine cannot go in tight pockets. If there is a pocket on the reverse side of the material you are wanting embroidered, the embroidery will close that pocket. Some materials are not conducive to machine embroidery. My maximum embroidery size is 17"x16." Very large designs will likely require a custom set-up fee.
How long is your turnaround time?
It depends on how busy I am. I typically quote 2 weeks, but often items are finished much sooner. During busy season (August to December), I may need even longer and may pause taking customer drop-offs altogether. Please let me know if you need something quickly, and I will do my best to accommodate. When possible, I offer a $25 per item "skip the line" rush fee.
What forms of payment do you accept for embroidery-only?
I accept Venmo, credit card, Paypal, and Apple Pay through invoicing on my website. No cash is accepted at the physical store. Payment is requested before service.
What if an item is damaged in the embroidery process?
In the highly unlikely event that a mistake- human or machine- is made, I will reimburse you up to $50 for the cost of the item. Please do not send anything that is irreplaceable.
